Forgot all my dreams,

...not feeling untrue.

Forgot waking without aching,

...to not just sustain.

...to not need more meds. 

Forgot about the present,

...without a creased brow.

But then suddenly that nuzzling,

That warm, gentle insistance?

Suddenly nothing else matters,

...except my companion dog's kisses.
